Setup Guide

1

Download and run the installer

Download the installer from the Download page and run it. The installer copies the plugin and its scripts into your REAPER UserPlugins folder automatically — no manual file placement required.

REAPER must be closed while the installer runs. The installer will remind you of this before it proceeds.

Windows SmartScreen: the installer is currently unsigned. If Windows shows a "Windows protected your PC" warning, click More info then Run anyway to proceed.
2

Run the action in REAPER

Open REAPER and open the Actions list (Actions → Show action list… or press ?). Search for:

Script: StartMidiOracle.lua

Select the action and click Run. The MIDI Oracle panel will open.

3

Enter your licence key

Click the gear icon in the top-left of the MIDI Oracle panel to open Settings, then select the Licence tab. Paste your licence key and click Activate.

4

Add MIDI Oracle to a custom menu (optional)

For quick access, you can add MIDI Oracle to any of REAPER's menus. In the Actions list, find Script: StartMidiOracle.lua, then click Add to menu… at the bottom of the window.

Choose which menu to add it to (e.g. Main menu → Extensions), enter a display name such as MIDI Oracle, and click OK. It will appear in that menu every time you open REAPER.

5

Add MIDI Oracle to a toolbar (optional)

You can pin MIDI Oracle to any REAPER toolbar so it's always one click away. Right-click an empty area of any toolbar and choose Customize toolbar…. Find Script: StartMidiOracle.lua in the left-hand list and click Add.

The toolbar button will use the MIDI Oracle icon automatically:
